These terms govern the use of the "Leben in Deutschland" (LiD) web application available at this domain. By using the application you agree to these terms.

LiD is a free, unofficial study tool for preparing for the "Leben in Deutschland" test and the German citizenship test. It is not official and is not affiliated with the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF), the Federal Agency for Civic Education (bpb), or any other authority.

The content does not replace legal advice or official sources. Only the question catalogue published by the BAMF is authoritative for the actual test. We make no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the questions, answers, or translations shown.

Use of the application is at your own risk. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability for damages arising from the use or non-availability of the application — in particular for any failure to pass an examination. This does not affect liability for intent and gross negligence, or for injury to life, body, or health.

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee it. The application may be changed, restricted, or discontinued at any time without notice.
